The vehicle above is the stunning Ford Explorer. This impressive SUV can fit up to seven people, includes multiple infotainment and safety technological features, offers a marvelous amount of luxuries, both inside and out, and contains many different strong powertrains. So, why would you want anything else?

Some people consider the Chevy Traverse a comparable SUV and, for the most part, it is. The two are about the same size, with the Traverse having the option for one more seat, and they contain comparable infotainment and safety technology, like the SYNC 3 system found in the Ford Explorer and the lane-departure warning found in both models. They are equally stunning, with distinctive body styles, multiple trim levels for you to choose from, and a wide array of exterior colors. So, what's so different about them?

The differences are found in the powertrain, price range, fuel efficiency, and added tech. The Ford Explorer may have less seats, but it has more power, better gas mileage, and, once you get past the base trim, contains a better price tag. An example of the added technology would be the front-facing 180-degree camera found on the Ford Explorer. This camera is perfect for seeing every part of the space around your vehicle and helps tremendously with parking and getting out of a tight spot. The Chevy Traverse does not have this in its arsenal.
